VIRTUAL NOTICE BOARD

GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

The absolutely fastest (16–22 minutes), cheapest and most reliable way of getting to the airport is the train connection: either the CAT train from Wien Mitte (departs twice an hour, 7 and 37 minutes past every full hour) or the ÖBB S-Bahn from various stations in the city area.

A taxi ride to the airport will take at least around 25 minutes, but especially on Friday afternoon, traffic jams can occur. Various taxi firms offer fixed-price transportation to the airport (see https://www.viennaairport.com/passagiere/anreise__parken/taxis__limousinen ), but they should be reserved in beforehand well in time.

Telephone numbers to some taxi firms (some of them may also offer fixed-price rides to the airport, so feel free to ask whether a Flughafentaxi is available):

  • +43 1 40100
  • +43 1 60160
  • +43 1 31300.

Friday evening, starting from 6 o'clock, those who remain in Vienna are invited to an improvised Finno-Ugric party with spontaneous singing, dancing and rejoicing. Snacks are provided, but you might want to bring your own bottle.
